Michael J Staines & Company are delighted to welcome Geraldine Wycherley to our growing team of criminal defence experts.
Geraldine graduated from University College Dublin with a First Class Honours Law Degree in 2008 and from the London School of Economics and Political Science with an LLM (Criminology and Criminal Justice) with Distinction in 2009. Her LLM dissertation analysed the importance of legal advice provided in the police station.
Geraldine completed her traineeship in London where she was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales in 2014, after which she was also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 2016. In London, she specialised as a criminal defence solicitor representing individuals on a wide range of general crime and white collar matters. She advised individuals on all stages of their case, from representation in the police station to preparing their case for trial.
She has particular experience in representing individuals involved in multi-jurisdictional investigations into the financial industry, and of defending individuals accused of sexual offences.
